About Danza Orgánica
Founded in 2007 by Afro-Taíno artist Mar Parrilla, Danza Orgánica is a Boston-based dance theater company centered around equity, social justice, and decolonization. With dancers from Puerto Rico, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Spain, Danza Orgánica brings together a multiplicity of experiences, united by common themes of migration, decolonization, and the embodiment of a liberated future. We envision a world where all living beings are valued, and Mother Earth is in balance. Our legacy is one of opening doors for others, creating spaces for artistic expression, and leaving behind a body of work carefully crafted to illuminate both our human experience and that of our collaborators.
