About Danza Orgánica
Founded in 2007 by Afro-Taíno artist Mar Parrilla, Danza Orgánica is a BIPOC and Queer-led Boston-based dance theater company committed to equity, social justice, and decolonization.
With dancers from Puerto Rico, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Palestine, Syria, and Spain, our work is shaped by a multiplicity of lived experiences—united by themes of migration, decolonization, and the embodiment of a liberated future.
We envision a world where all living beings are valued, and Mother Earth returns to balance. Our legacy is one of opening doors for others, creating spaces for artistic expression, and leaving behind a body of work that illuminates the depth of our human experience and that of our collaborators.
